Ms. MacKinnon is an entrepreneur and growth consultant with significant accomplishments in growth strategy for early stage and high growth, technology ventures. MacKinnon has served as a reviewer of educational programming for HIMSS Annual Symposia Proposals, a member of the Angel Capital Association Education Committee and an Angel Investor in companies at various stages of the ecosystem.

 

Early in her career, she led the spin-out of technology from an M&A transaction within a healthcare provider organization. As Founder/CEO of BeyondNow Technologies, MacKinnon achieved greater than 50% YOY growth for nearly a decade from 1994 to 2003, when it was acquired by Cerner Corporation.  After completing her work with Cerner, MacKinnon launched 5th Dimension Strategies, focusing her efforts on identifying strategic growth opportunities for other technology companies. She has experienced a number of successes in her work, including exits and other growth transitions totaling >$100M in value. She maintains her commitment to her rural roots, working closely with her family business activities.
